Panam Microsite Project

A project for my first semester at the Interactive Design Program at Seneca College, this is a responsive one-page site to promote the ideals of the Pan Am/Parapan Am games.
The challenge was to implement a single design in different formats, create a visual hierarchy, and define a visual style that could be translated successfully across media types.

All photography used in this project was taken by me with a Canon Rebel T5i.

The website in desktop, tablet and mobile size. The menu in desktop had custom radio buttons to indicate in which part of the site the user is on, as well as serve as a nav menu.

Slider banner that welcomes people on the mobile site.

Example of how the menu is animated on the mobile version of the site. Motion graphics done in AfterEffects.

Events & Tickets sections of the mobile site.

For the final section, we had to come up with a website representation of the excitement and spirit of the games. I created "#Panamania", a section where the hero background of the site would change dynamically every hour or so with photos that spectators and athletes would upload to social media sites like Instagram with the hashtag aforementioned.
